The 108^th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 11^th of July 2019 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

During the first session, fourteen graduates of Doctor of Philosophy Degree, sixteen graduates of Master of Philosohy Degree, forty three graduates of Master of Science, fourteen graduates of Master of Social Sciences Degree, two graduates of Master of Commerce Degree, fifty seven graduates of Master of Business Administration Degree, twelve graduates of Master of Human Resource Management Degree, twenty five graduates of Master of Business in Finance Degree, ten graduates of Master of Business in Accounting Degree, two hundred and fifty one graduates of Master of Arts Degree and forty two graduates of Postgraduate Diploma offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies were awarded the degrees.

Moreover, the convocation speech for the first session was delivered by Emeritus Prof. Samarajeewa Karunaratne, former Vice- Chancellor, University of Moratuwa.

During the second session, ten graduates of Master of Public Health in Epidemiology Degree, fifty four graduates of Master of Arts Degree (Two Year), five hundred and sixty nine graduates of Master of Arts Degree offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies were awarded the degrees.

Moreover, the convocation speech for the second session was delivered by Emeritus Prof. Kusuma Karunaratne, University of Colombo.

Present at the occasion were Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Mr. W.M. Karunarathne, Registrar, Deans of Faculties, Directors of Postgraduate Institutes, Directors of Institutes, Heads of Departments, academic staff members and parents.
