A pirith chanting ceremony for the commemoration of the 60^th Anniversary of the University of Kelaniya was held with the participation of 60 monks including UoK Chancellor and Parivenadhipathi of Vidyalankara, Most Ven. Welamitiyawe Sri Kusaladhamma Thero,

on the 17^th of August 2019 at the premises of the Administrative Building of the University of Kelaniya. It was held with the objective of sharing merits with the Mahanayaka Theros, including Rathmalane Sri Dharmaloka Thero and invoking blessings on the undergraduates and staff members of the University of Kelaniya.

Present at the occasion were Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor, Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, academic & non- academic staff members and undergraduates.
