The 110^th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 05^th of September 2019 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

During the first session, twenty- two graduands of Doctor of Philosophy Degree, one graduand of Master of Philosophy Degree, three hundred and seventy-six graduands of Master of Arts Degree & thirty-five graduands of Postgraduate Diploma offered by the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies were awarded the degrees.

Moreover, the convocation speech for the first session was delivered by Ven. Prof. Huixian Putuo, Director- The China’s Buddhist Academy of Mount Putuo.

During the second session, hundred and forty- two graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree offered by the Faculty of Humanities and three hundred and eight graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences were awarded the degrees.

Moreover, the convocation speech for the second session was delivered by Emeritus Prof. Sunanda Mahendra, University of Kelaniya.

Senior Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor, Deans of Faculties, Directors of Postgraduate Institutes, Directors of Institutes, Heads of Departments, academic staff members, Mr. W.M. Karunarathne, Registrar and parents were among the participants of this special ceremony.
