An awareness programme for school prefects in Gampaha district on leadership & prevention of gender based violence organized by the Center for Gender Studies, University of Kelaniya and Paliyagoda Police Station was held on the 23^rd of September 2019 Sri Dharmaloka College, Kelaniya.

Mr. Laksiri Geethal, SSP- Mirihana Police Division was the keynote speaker for the event. Present at the occasion were Senior Lecturer Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe, Director- Center for Gender Studies, staff members of the Center for Gender Studies and school children.
