A press conference organized by the Communication & Media Unit on education exhibition, which was planned to commemorate the 60^th anniversary of the University of Kelaniya, was held on the 21st November 2019 at the Senate Assembly Hall.

During the press conference, Professor Patrick Rathnayaka, Dean- faculty of Humanities & Chairman of the University 60th Anniversary Committee, Prof. Ven. Iduragare Dhammarathana Thero, Head- Department of Sanskrit and Eastern Studies, Senior Lecturer Ven. Dr. Malwane Chandaratana Thero, Head- Department of Sinhala, Professor Rohana Luxman Piyadasa, Senior Lecturer Wijayananda Rupasinghe, Director- Communication and Media Unit, Dr. C. C. Jayasundara, Librarian, and Mr. Lakmal Wijerathna, Senior Assistant Registrar- Faculty of Graduate Studies expressed their opinions. Also, administrative officers and journalists representing leading mass media institutes participated in this event.

The exhibition is scheduled to be held on the 27^th, 28^th & 29^th of November, 2019 and the university library staff will present a special stall with information on the history of the university. Also, there will be about 70 exhibition stalls representing the internal and external parties of the university. During the three days of the exhibition, there will be a special series of discussions with alumnies of the university, expertise in different fields.
