The First Session of the Enrolment of New Undergraduates to the University of Kelaniya
The first session of the enrollment of new undergraduates to the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Computing & Technology, University of Kelaniya was held on the 10th of March 2020 at Dharmaloka Hall of the university.
On the 01st of November 2019 the University Bodhi tree’s encircling wall (bodhiprākāra) and golden fence (ran väta) were constructed. This was done in honour of 144th anniversary of Vidyālankāra Monastic School for Oriental Studies, the jewel of Kelaniya University, and was made possible through charitable funds. The Bodhi tree itself derives from a branch of the Jaya-ŚrīMahā Bodhi tree at Anuradhapura.

Certificate Awarding Ceremony on Archaeological Studies, Astrology and Yoga studies -2020
The certificate awarding ceremony of the Department of Sanskrit Studies was held on 22nd of February, 2020. The prime objective of the event was to appreciate and promote the certificate courses on Archaeological Studies, Astrology and Yoga studies.
