A Workshop for Grassroot Entrepreneurs held successfully at the University of Kelaniya

A three-day workshop on entrepreneurship organized by the Central Business Incubator (CBI) of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies of the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with the businessmen in the Dalugama area was held on the 7th, 8th, and 9th of February at the University.
The primary objective of this series of workshops was to educate upcoming entrepreneurs and build a proper network among them.
The first day of the workshop was graced by the presence of Dr. P. N. D. Fernando, Dean - of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies while Prof. Ravi Fernando, a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Marketing Management participated as the resource person. The workshop was introduced by Dr. Srinath Dissanayake, Director - Central Business Incubator, expressing the motivations and aspirations of the center.
On the 2nd day, Dr. C. N. Wickramasinghe Senior Lecturer of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management expressed his practical experiences on value propositions.
The 3rd day was focused on three main areas namely, digital marketing, taxing and accounting, and mindful entrepreneurs. Senior Lecturer Harshaka Hettiarachchi of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Dr. Mudith Sujeewa and Mr. Pubudu Kaushalya, Senior Lecturers of the Department of Accountancy, and Senior Lecturer Tharindu Weerasinghe of the Department of Human Resource Management expressed their thoughts on the said areas respectively.
Around 60 attendees participated in each day of this event.
