The Inauguration Ceremony of the Orientation Program of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies was held on the 6^th of February 2023 at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall of the University of Kelaniya and it will be continued till the 24th of February 2023.

The ceremony was organized to welcome the new undergraduates for the academic year 2021/22.

Dr. P. N. D. Fernando, Dean – of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, and Ms. M. M. N. T. K. Yalegama, Deputy Registrar – University of Kelaniya welcomed the distinguished guests and new undergraduates. The students were also addressed by Dr. M. A. Y. L. Nadeesha, the Director of Student Welfare, and Prof. S. M. A. K. Samarakoon, Senior Student Counselor of the Faculty.

This event was graced by the presence of Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice–Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Ms. H. A. A. I. Hettiarachchi, Senior Assistant Registrar of the Faculty, Prof. Ruwan Abeysekera, Head - of Department of Finance, Dr. M. M. M. Shamil, Head - of Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Prof. D. K. Y. Abeywardena, Head - Department of Accountancy, Mr. M. D. P. Peiris, Head - Department of Human Resource Management, Prof. W. M. C. B Wanninayake, Head - Department of Marketing Management, members of the academic staff of the Faculty, academic support staff, and members of the non-academic staff of the Faculty participated in this ceremony.
