The National Research Conference on Applied Social Statistics 2021

The National Research Conference on Applied Social Statistics 2021 was held virtually on the 21st of November 2022 for the 7th consecutive time.

It was organized by the Department of Social Statistics, Faculty of Social Sciences. The theme of the conference was ‘Quantitative research on Sustainable Development’. The extended abstract volume was also published parallel to this conference.

Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya was the chief guest of the conference, while the Guest of Honor was Prof. M. M. Gunatilake, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The keynote speech of the conference was delivered by Vidyajyothi Prof. H. Janaka de Silva. Dr. Manjula Gunarathna, the Head of the Department of Social Statistics participated as the Conference Chair. Senior Lecturer Lakdinie Dasanayake, the Chief Coordinator of the conference, and Ms. Dimani Hapuarachchi the Conference Secretary also participated in this conference.
