Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers in the University of Kelaniya was held on the 27^th of July 2022 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Prof. P. A. D. H. N. Gunathilaka, Department of Parasitology, from the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. L. D. Amarasinghe, of the Department of Zoology and Environment Management, Dr. W. M. A, P. Halmillawewa of the Department of Microbiology, Dr. Rasika Probodani Wanigatunge of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology are the awardees from the Faculty of Science for publishing papers in journals indexed in Science Citation Index (SCI).

Dr. N. V. Chandrasekara and Ms. N. M. Hakmanage of the Department of Statistic and Computer Science and Ms. R. H. A. A. Ranasinghe of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology were also awarded the Senate Awards for publishing papers in journals indexed only in Scopus.
