Workshop on Research Methods and Statistics for Information Professionals: A two-day workshop on Research Methods and Statistics for information professionals organized by the University Librarians Association (ULA) of Sri Lanka was held on the 05^th and 06^th of February 2019 at the Industrial Management hall , University of Kelaniya.

The inauguration was presided over by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe as the Chief Guest. Present at the occasion were Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. N.P. Sunil- Chandra, Chairman- Research Council, Dr. C.C. Jayasundara, Librarian- University of Kelaniya, Assistant Librarians, Senior Assistant Librarians, Deputy Librarians, Librarians, other relevant professionals and researchers. Prof. Karuthan Chinna, Department of Social Preventive Medicine, University of Malaya was the resource person of the event.
