Prof. Jiajuan Xiong from the School of Foreign Languages for Business, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), Chengdu, Sichuan, China is on a research visit to the University of Kelaniya.

Prof. Xiong called upon the Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor on 18^th of December 2019 at Vice-Chancellor’s office. Present at the occasion were Prof. Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director- Centre for International Affairs and Ms. Sashini Chandrasekara, Coordinator- International Cooperation, Centre for International Affairs.

Prof. Xiong is conducting research on nominal phrase structure of Sinhala and a study on the education system as well as education and language policies in Sri Lanka.

The visit was coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs.
