The third of the “Hands on Heritage” workshop series organized by the Centre for Heritage Studies was held on the 05th and 06th of October 2018 at the university premises. The first session of the workshop was held on the 05th at the Library Lecture Hall and its second session was held on the 06th at the Computer Lab of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
06th lecture of the lecture series on heritage studies organized by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 08th of October 2018 at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre. The lecture was held with the objective of improving reserach knowledge on ‘Stone Tool Technology’.

05th lecture of the lecture series on heritage studies organized by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 26th of September 2018 at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre. “Cultural Heritage of Pondicherry” was the theme of the lecture series which was held with the objective of broadening the knowledge regarding ‘Tangible and Intangible Heritage’.
The first meeting of the research team of the research study on ‘ragging and violence within the university’ was held on the 29th of August 2018 at the Senate Room of the University. Research objectives, research methodology and anticipated sponsorship and responsibilities from the team members were specially discussed at the meeting which was held with the objective of gathering the ideas of the research team of the University of Kelaniya on the relevant research.
