An MoU was signed between the University of Kelaniya and the Expographic Books Pvt Ltd on the 26 th of March 2021 at the Senate Room. The event was hosted by the National E-Learning Resource Centre of University of Kelaniya.

The MoU was signed with the objective of publishing e-books in the Gurulugomi app.Under this MoU, any academic of the University of Kelaniya can publish e-books with Expographic books without any cost. These books will be appeared in Gurulugomi app for readers to purchase and read.The event was dignified with the presence of Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor - University of Kelaniya, Senior Lecturer Dr. P. G. Wijayarathna, Dean- Faculty of Computing and Technology, Senior Lecturer Dr. Kaushalya Yatigammana, Director- National E-Learning Resource Centre, Senior Lecturer Darshana Mapa Pathiranage, Deputy Director- National E-Learning Resource Centre, Lecturer Managala Keerthi De Pasqual, Deputy Director- National E-Learning Resource Centre, Dr. Anuradhi Welhenge and Ms. Malsha Mahawatta, Lecturer- Faculty of Computing and Technology, Mr. Pradeep Samaranayake, Director- Expographic Books Pvt Ltd and Mr. Chamila Samaranayake, Branch Manager- Expographic Books Pvt Ltd.

An electronic waste collection was held on the 24^th of March 2021 at three locations. It was organized by Centre for Sustainability Solutions, University of Kelaniya.
