The Department of Pali & Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya hosted a momentous Awarding Ceremony on June 24, 2025, to honor the graduation of the 5th and 6th batches of the Diploma in Buddhist Psychology and Counselling program.
A special donation ceremony organized by the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on 28th of April 2025 at the department premises.
A preliminary agreement to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Dhammachai Educational Institute in Thailand and the University of Kelaniya was signed on March 24, 2025, in Thailand under the leadership of Dr. Ven. Pongsak Thaniyo and Senior Professor Ven. Makuruppe Dhammananda Thero, Head of the Department of Pāli and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya.
The Samprasādana Awarding Ceremony, organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Kelaniya, was held on March 20, 2025, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The event was presided over by Professor M. M. Gunatilake, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
