DAAD invites applications for “In-Region Scholarship Programme South Asia for Master and PhD studies at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay” for the intake 2021 funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

 

DAAD In-Region Scholarship Programme offers an opportunity to students from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka to pursue Master and PhD studies in the select subject fields of Engineering, Renewable Energy, Climate Change, Public Health or Good Governance at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

 

Graduate students (4-year Bachelor degree holders) can apply for a Master’s degree course and postgraduate students (2-year Master degree holders) can apply for a PhD/doctoral degree at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in the above-mentioned subject fields. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend, travel allowance, compulsory insurance, research, and final thesis subsidies besides payment of admission and tuition fees applicable at IIT Bombay.

 

The portals are open for applications and the deadline for applying to DAAD for funding and to IIT Bombay for admissions is 15. January 2021. Kindly refer to the attached call for detailed information on the application process incl. weblinks for the online application to DAAD and IITB, eligibility criteria, requisite documentation, and deadlines etc. The call/announcement will also be published on the DAAD websites in the coming days.

Dear graduands,

Considering the inability to conduct the convocation ceremony due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation of the country and the delay that it has caused upon graduands’ receiving of their degree certificates, it has been decided to conduct the 115th General Convocation virtually at Dharmaloka Hall of the University on 2020.12.11 at 9.30 a.m. Necessary steps have been taken to live stream (online) the convocation. Accordingly, the graduands and their family members will be able to watch the first virtual convocation of the university live

Dates and times allocated for the graduates to obtain the degree certificate will be noticed in the official website of the university in due course. The graduates will also be given the opportunity to take the graduation photograph with the cloak on the same day.
