The 12th Students’ Research Symposium 2023 was organized by the Department of Finance, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya under the theme of “Artificial Intelligence and Future of Finance” on 23rd November 2023 at Sunil Shantha Memorial Auditorium.

The Varsity Battles 2023, is an inter-university quiz competition, organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), with the objective of educating the university students of all the state universities on the capital market.
Professor H. A. K. N. S. Surangi was appointed as the Head of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management on the 2nd of November 2023. H. A. K. N. S. Surangi is a Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Commerce and Financial Management at the University of Kelaniya.
