Inter- University Taekwondo Championship organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Kelaniya was held on the 29th and 30th of September 2018 at the Indoor Stadium of the University of Kelaniya. The prime objective of this tournament which was held under the supervision of Sri Lanka Universities’ Sports Association, was to improve sports skills of the undergraduates.

A special workshop on human rights and fundamental rights organized by the Department of Political Science, University of Kelaniya was held on the 02nd of October 2018 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

This workshop which was held with the objective of establishing a strong social negotiation through the development of theoretical and practical knowledge of undergraduates who follow Bachelor of Arts (Special) Degree in Political Science, aimed at second year undergraduates of Bachelor of Arts (Special) Degree in Political Science.

Mr. Luis Reis was at the University of Kelaniya from the 03^rd to 07^th of September on Erasmus+ Merging Voices Administrative Mobility Grant. Mr. Reis, who is the Communication Officer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universidade Nova, Portugal was attached to the Centre for International Affairs during the period of his mobility.

Mr. Reis called upon the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M Semasinghe on the 04^th of September 2018 at the Office of the Vice- Chancellor. Present at the meeting were Prof. Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director- International Affairs and Ms. Sashini Chandrasekara, Coordinator- International Cooperation.
