National Research Conference on Applied Social Statistics 2019 and PHRONESIS MIND Inter-departmental and Inter School Quiz Competition 2019 organized by Department of Social Statistics was held on 03rd of December 2019 at the auditorium of Faculty of Social Sciences.
Prof. M.M. Gunathilake was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The appointment letter was handed over to the Dean by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe on the 16th of December 2019 at the Vice- Chancellor’s Office.
The Department of Library and Information Science, the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya held its 03rd International Conference on Library and Information Management on 26th of November 2019 at the faculty board room.
A felicitation ceremony to admire the service of retired Prof. S.J. Yogarajah of the Department of Linguistics, University of Kelaniya, was held on 29th of October 219 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya.
