The second session of the enrollment of new undergraduates to the Faculty of Social Sciences & Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya was held on the 11th of February 2020 at Dharmaloka Hall of the university.
The 114th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 06th of March 2020 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).
The first session of the enrollment of new undergraduates to the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Computing & Technology, University of Kelaniya was held on the 10th of March 2020 at Dharmaloka Hall of the university.
On the 01st of November 2019 the University Bodhi tree’s encircling wall (bodhiprākāra) and golden fence (ran väta) were constructed. This was done in honour of 144th anniversary of Vidyālankāra Monastic School for Oriental Studies, the jewel of Kelaniya University, and was made possible through charitable funds. The Bodhi tree itself derives from a branch of the Jaya-ŚrīMahā Bodhi tree at Anuradhapura.
