Concurrently to the 60th Anniversary of the University of Kelaniya, the Research Relations Symposium 2019 organized by the Research Council of the University of Kelaniya, was held on the 07th of November 2019 at the boardroom of the Faculty of Humanities.
“Kalana Suyaamaya” Musical Programme organized by the Arts Council, University of Kelaniya was held on 06th November 2019 at Sri Dharmaloka Hall. This musical programme has been organized concurrently to the 60th anniversary of the university in order to develop the aesthetic values of the university community.
The opening of the Bodiprakaraya with the golden fence and Patimaagaraya for the Bodhi tree at Kelaniya University premises which was built on charity funds was unveiled by Prof. D.M Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kelaniya on 01st of November on the commemorating 144 year celebrations of the Vidyalankara Pirivena.
The 50th felicitation ceremony of C.W.W.Kannangara organized by the National E-learning Resource Centre in collaboration with the Presidential Secretariat was held on 16th October 2019 at the BMICH.
