Erasmus Grantee from Tallinn University, Estonia: Prof. Merilyn Meristo from the School of Humanities, Tallinn University, Estonia is on an Erasmus+ academic staff mobility grant from 28th of January to 8th of February 2019.She is attached to the Centre for International Affairs and the Department of Modern Languages during her mobility period.
Elle Girls’ Team and Taekwondo Boys’ Team on a Tour to Malaysia: Elle girls team and the Taekwondo boys team of the University of Kelaniya, who won the Championship at the Inter- University Games got an opportunity to take part in a Malaysian tour for 5 days. 20 sportswomen of the Elle team,09 sportsmen of the Taekwondo team will participate in the tour.
The launch of Economics Students' Association Annual Journal -2018 organized by Economics Students' Association, Department of Economics, University of Kelaniya was held on the 29th of January 2019 at the Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The journal was launched with the objective of enhancing the research skills and academic writing skills of the students and disseminating the new knowledge to the society.
Two Undergraduates from the University of Kelaniya for Excavations in Kapilwastu : For the first time in history, two undergraduates from the University of Kelaniya got selected as the researchers for a collaborative archaeological research project which is being conducted annually in Kapilawstu by the Department of Archaeology- Nepal, Lumbini Development Trust and Durham University-England.
