Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 29th of March 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

University of Kelaniya currently hosts Erasmus+ Incoming Staff Mobility from the University of Porto, Portugal and the University of Rouen, France. Both universities have hosted several staff and student mobilities from University of Kelaniya since 2015.
Senior Professor Lal Mervin Dharmasiri, and Head of the Department of Geography of the University of Kelaniya, received a Distinguished Alumni award which is offered to prestigious academicians, from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
Professor Tetsuya Sagawa from Kanazawa University, Japan and Professor Takahiro Nakano from Chukyo University, Japan visited the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education of the Faculty of Social Sciences on the 22nd of March at 8.30 am.
