The debate team of the University of Kelaniya clinched the championship title at the Inter-University Human Rights Debate Competition 2024, organized by the Capital Maharaja Group (CMG) in parallel with International Human Rights Day. This marked their second consecutive victory, reaffirming their dominance in the debate arena.
Professor George Talbot, Pro Vice-chancellor (Research & KE), and Ms. Kate Arnold, Head of International Operations and Administration, Edge Hill University, UK, visited the University of Kelaniya on the 2nd of December 2024.
Professor Colin Riordan, Secretary General of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), and Mr. Aditya Malkani, Regional Director, Membership ‑ Asia Pacific, visited the University of Kelaniya on the 6th of December 2024.
Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 27th of November 2024 at the Senate Room of the university.
