The academic staff members of the University of Kelaniya who participated in the Shilpasena Exposition organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research were appreciated on the 02nd of August 2019 at the Vice- Chancellor’s Office.
The Rugby team of the University of Kelaniya got qualified for the finals of Sri Lanka University Games (SLUG) after 27 years at the XIII SLUG 2019 organized by the University of Ruhuna. The Rugby team of the University of Kelaniya got qualified for the SLUG final for the last time at the SLUG 1992.
University of Kelaniya – Sri Lanka has become the third best university in Sri Lanka in terms of Transparency ranking which considered the virtual profiles/impacts of the Research output of a university in 2019.
Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers in the University of Kelaniya was held on the 24th of July 2019 at the Senate Room of the university.
