Appointment of New Members for the Arts Council:The new members for the Arts Council of the University of Kelaniya were appointed on the 08th of February 2019 at the Senate Room of the university. ‘Kalana’ - Shasthriya Kala Sangrahaya was also launched in relation to the event.
Workshop on Research Methods and Statistics for Information Professionals: A two-day workshop on Research Methods and Statistics for information professionals organized by the University Librarians Association (ULA) of Sri Lanka was held on the 05th and 06th of February 2019 at the Industrial Management hall , University of Kelaniya.
Erasmus Grantee from Tallinn University, Estonia: Prof. Merilyn Meristo from the School of Humanities, Tallinn University, Estonia is on an Erasmus+ academic staff mobility grant from 28th of January to 8th of February 2019.She is attached to the Centre for International Affairs and the Department of Modern Languages during her mobility period.
Elle Girls’ Team and Taekwondo Boys’ Team on a Tour to Malaysia: Elle girls team and the Taekwondo boys team of the University of Kelaniya, who won the Championship at the Inter- University Games got an opportunity to take part in a Malaysian tour for 5 days. 20 sportswomen of the Elle team,09 sportsmen of the Taekwondo team will participate in the tour.
