The first session of the enrollment of new undergraduates to the Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Computing & Technology, University of Kelaniya was held on the 14th of February 2019 at Dharmaloka Hall of the university.
The second of the series of ten seminars on research organized by the Research Council, University of Kelaniya was held on the 14th of February 2019 at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre. The event was organized with the objective of promoting research in the University of Kelaniya. The resource persons of the seminar were Prof. Ajith De Alwis, PhD - Director of COSTI, Prof. N P Sunil-Chandra, PhD and the Librarian, C C Jayasundara, PhD.

The ceremony for the appreciation of the two retired professors: Ven. Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Thero and Emeritus Prof. Sumanapala Galmangoda of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya was held on the 13th of February 2019 at K2 108 hall.
