The inauguration ceremony of the peer counselling certificate course was held on the 02nd of July 2019 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences. It was held with the objective of initiating peer counseling habits among the students.

Distribution of Air Tickets to the Selected Undergraduates of Department of Archaeology for Service Learning Programme
In accordance with the MOU signed between the Department of Archaeology, University of Kelaniya and the School of History and Culture, Sichuan University in China, four undergraduates of the Department of Archaeology, University of Kelaniya obtained an opportunity to take part in the Service Learning Program at Sichuan University, China.
Senior Lecturer Dr. Ajith Dissanayaka of the Department of Economics, University of Kelaniya was awarded the Best Paper Award for his research paper presentation on “Income Distribution and Incidence of Poverty in Sri Lanka”, at the 2nd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Research (ICMAR- 2019) conducted by the Asia Pacific Institute of Advanced Research.
