The 105th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 23rd of January 2019 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

Mr. Jean-Philippe Gavois, Cultural and Cooperation Counsellor and Ms. Mélina Guerras, Attaché for Cooperation and Education of the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka visited the University of Kelaniya on the 22nd of January 2019 to discuss about future cooperation and disseminate information about the Educational Fair title ‘Choose France’ which will take place on the 29th of January 2019 at the Hotel Hilton, Colombo.
The provincial awareness programmes for newly enrolled undergraduates/ guardians for Kegalle, Ratnapura and Galle, Matara, Hambanthota districts was held on the 16th and 18th of January 2019 at Sabaragamuwa Province Central Library Theatre and Weligama Municipal Council respectively.
The event was held under the patronage of the Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne. Present at the occasion were Senior Lecturer Ven. Dr. Kapugollewe Anandakiththi Thero, Chief Student Counsellor, academic staff members and non- academic staff members.
