The Times Higher Education (THE) has ranked the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, in the top 800 – 1000 medical schools in the world in 2023. This is a significant achievement for the faculty, which is one of the only three Sri Lankan medical schools included in the list.
Professor Madawa Nilupathi Chandratilake was elected as the seventh Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kelaniya and assumed his duties in the post on the 25th of September 2023.
